She continued to work steadily with guest-star roles on series like "8 Simple Rules," "Numbers" and "CSI Miami," and has had recurring roles on popular series such as "24," "Veronica Mars," "Shark" and "House." In addition, she had regular roles on "Tarzan" and "Surface."
Meester made her film debut in the feature "Hangman's Curse," based on the best-selling novel by Frank Peretti. She also recently starred in the independent film "Flourish" with future "House" co-stars Jennifer Morrison and Jesse Spencer, and in the drama "Inside." Meester's upcoming feaure films roles include the dramedy "The Beautiful Ordinary," the horror/comedy "Drive-Thru" and the thriller "Dead of Night."
Raised in Marco Island, Florida, Meester became interested in acting when she appeared in a local production of "The Wizard of Oz." When she was 11, she moved with her family to New York City and soon after began working as a model with Wilhemina, booking a Ralph Lauren campaign shot by Bruce Webber and working with then photographer Sophia Coppola.
When not on the set, Meester passionately pursues her talent for music and creative writing. She has recorded a song for the soundtrack of her upcoming film "Drive-Thru." She currently resides in New York.

Here i want to mention about a girl,a gossip girl.She has became the star of teenage population.Everything she does,everything she wears is being followed by lots of teenaged people and media.You may remember her from the film 'The Sisterhood of Travelling Pants' or you would most likely know her from 'Gossip Girl'.Of course there are other films that she has starred in.There is a short information about her ,hope you enjoy it.Blake Lively was born in a showbiz family in California and quickly followed her parents and siblings steps. Her first role was Trixie the Tooth Fairy in 1998 movie "Sandman" directed by her Dad, Ernie Blake. Her big break came along a few years later though. Blake was up to finish high school when she got the co-starring role of Bridget in "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" on 2005. Blake was perfect for the part of Bridget, so much that with no big references or even auditioning she landed the part! She revealed she walked in and left a photo of herself and that was it, yet it was clear that she was the Brigit needed. After "The Sisterhood", Blake went back to high school for a her senior year and had the life of a regular teenager, a ver busy regular teenager. The multi-talented girl was class president, a cheerleader and performed with the choir. Currently Blake has a movie in the theater starring Justin Long, "Accepted", and has an other project due to be released this year titled "Elvis and Anabelle".

Rastafari movement

i've recently learned a new religion movement called Rastafarian movement.It's a really interesting religion rooted in Ethiopia.There are several definitions and rumours about this religion.The most interesting thing i've learned is that the rasta hairstyle is used by Rastafarian people and it symbolizes this religion.Did you know that it was symbolizing an religion?I was just thinking that people have their hari rasta only because it looks eyecatching or something.Now i want to give you some more infomartion about this movement.
The Rastafari movement (also known as Rastafari, Rastafarianism or simply Rasta) is a monotheistic, Abrahamic, new religious movement that accepts Haile Selassie I, the former Emperor of Ethiopia, as the incarnation of God, called Jah or Jah Rastafari. Haile Selassie is also seen as part of the Holy Trinity and as the returned messiah promised in the Bible.
Other characteristics of Rastafari include the spiritual use of cannabis, rejection of western society (called "Babylon"), and various Afrocentric social and political aspirations, such as the teachings of Jamaican publicist, organizer, and black separatist Marcus Garvey (also often regarded as a prophet), whose political and cultural vision helped inspire Leonard Howell to develop the foundations of this new world view.
The name Rastafari comes from Ras (literally "Head," an Ethiopian title equivalent to Duke), and Tafari Makonnen, the pre-coronation name of Haile Selassie I. Rastafari is commonly called "Rastafarianism," by some academics, but this term is considered derogatory and offensive by Rastas themselves.

I want to talk about a film i watched yesterday.It is 'Osmanlı Cumhuriyeti' starring Ata Demirer as an Ottoman emperor.The film is inspired by the question that what would happen if the Independence War hadn't taken place and the independence hadn't been gained by the Turkish people.The scriptwriter and the director of the film Gani Müjde answered this question as 'if the war hadn'T taken place, Ottoman Empire would become an American colony.'We see lots of american flags beside the Turkish flags and that was the one of the creepy scenes of the film.This scene makes watchers much more thankful to our ancestors and The Great Mustafa Kemal Atatürk for they didn't allow this scene to be real.So in the film main idea is that the independence preceeds everything for the Turkish people and the indepedence is the faith of Turks.There are more touchy scenes that hilarious scenes.This film will make you think twice about independence and the self-seeking American and Europen nations trying to play monatary games on Turkiye for thousand years.

STORY

Olgun was newly graduated from high school.he was so smart and intellectual that almost all elite universities would accept him.but he was the only male member of the family after his dads passing away.as a result he had to take care of the farmland which was inherited from his dad.it was late at night.he was thinking.in one hand there were his six baby sisters and his unfortunate mum and in the other hand there was his apparent brilliant future and education.with these troubling and intricate thoughts he jumped out of his bed and went to the veranda of the farmhouse..his aim in going to the college was to be useful to the public so he would be best beneficial to the society by helping his own family he decided to stay home and handle the farm issues.

hitchiking in METU

it was my first experience of hitchhiking in METU.i and my friends Elif,Nihan,Samet were heading for the ring bus stop and we all were so tired after a EDS200 lesson of 3 hours.at that time ,getting on a very crowded ring and standing hardly on it under the risk of losing your balance seemed very odd .we decided to hitchhike.elif is experienced on this issue and when she raises her hand ,drivers suddenly stop.she raised her hand again and a nice car stoped and the driver let us in it.it felt so right because we were just sitting and were at Çarsi in five minutes.now,i can say that hitchiking on Metu is really safe.it was a nice experience.

the most loneliest morning

i woke up with my mum's lovely voice asking for me to come to the breakfast table.as usual,i was the last to wake up in the house,and all of them waited for me to do so.i persuaded my feet to get out of my bed .it was some kind of challange for me to leave that warmish bed ,so for my feet.i looked at the window and saw the white beauty falling from the blue sky.i could feel the bitter cold outside but i felt lucky to be in a house with a good heater anyway .meanwhile mum was getting angry.i took the baby steps through the ledder downstairs and reached the table,said good morning to dad ,my sisters and mum.it was an ordinary morning for me until i came here.now i wake up with the cold sound of my alarm clock not the lovely voice.no table for me.no people waiting for me to wake up.i didnt want to look at the window.it doesnt matter whether it rains or it shines because i am freezing all the time.i am still indoors with a good heater.so where is the sense in that?i can see now that i was lucky and i was warm not beacuse of the good heater but because of my family those people whom i would give my all without hesitation.and as soon as i am home i will woke up at six in the morning and set the table for them.i am missing them..

Julia Beever is an artisan famous for his paintings on pavements called 'anamorphose'.Anamorphose pictures looks like an excellent 3D picture when looked from a specific angle.

In this photo there is a little pool.the pool is like a box full of ice cubes.the water looks as clean as the water of deep blue seas.the water is looks wavy and this impression is given by the movement of the man's foot touching it.there is a ball .the ball is like a rainbow ,colorful.there is a life buoy coloured white and red.and there is a tiny duck swimming on the surface.there is a bottle of coke near the pool.and there is a glass of cocktail next to the coke.they look like real beverages.and the girl..the girl wears a red bikini.her one leg is high above the water and she looks very happy and enjoying.she is smiling and holding a glass of fruit juice.the artisan himself stands near the picture giving the imperssion that he is actually touching it.i hope you like the picture but now i will let you see the trick behing the anamorphose..:)

GOLDEN RETRIEVER

FEELINGS..

meet Stingray.he is a surfer.he likes big waves ,big and dangerous waves..

but waves like this can kill you.so why does he surfs?
what makes him look for danger?doesnt he feel fear?
Dr. Ralph is a psychologist .he studys ppl like Stingray.he says they do feel fear but they are different from other people .and what is different is the chemistry of their brains.
Dr. Ralph says the differences in their brains chemistry make them do crazy things.'they do feel frightened ,like most of us,' says the doctor.
all of our brains make an important chemical called dopamine.the difference between 'ordinary people' and these 'adventurers' is that they do not have much dopamine.they look for dangerous situations without thinking.but when they are in danger,they feel fear, just like everyone else.
'people like this need new and exciting situations all the time.',says Dr Stein.'they are usually friendly and confident , but they get bored easily.' and so like Stingray when they see an enormous wave,they do not try to get away from it like most of us do.they swim towards it..

sleep well..

many doctors say today that sleep can change our health.if we want our bodies to work well,we need sleep.if people dont have enough sleep they can suffer from depression as weel as illnesses such as heart disease.
the most abvious effect of not having enough sleep is to make us weaker and it makes it harder to fight illness;in other words ,people who do not sleep enough are more likely to get sick or ill.
many ppl have sleeping problems.studies in the USA have found that 60 percent of adults have problems sleeping alot of the time.more than 40 percent of adults say that they feel sleepy in the daytime and that this makes their lifes difficult.
20 percent say that they sometimes have problems sleeping.at least 40 million ppl in the USA suffer from sleeping problems that need treatment-because they sleep too much or too little but very few ppl actually go to doctor about their sleep problem.
so if you want to sleep well

-do not do exercise before you go to bed
-do not drinh alchol or drinks like coffee that have caffeine
-do try to relax

OCTOPUS MAN..huh??

A Philippino Rudy Santos,he is 55 years old and he has been carrying his dead twin's body on his own body for 55 years!!

dead in her mother's stomach,Rudy'S twin brother's two arms and one leg are hanging on his body.For this reason everybody calls him 'Octopus Man' or 'Ahtopot Adam'.

this situation doesn't affect his health condition but it really messes up his life standart.neither can he move comfortably,nor put on dresses.

in the 70's and 80's ,because of his body's strangeness,he attended some sorts of tv shows and even made a radio program.but as the time passes he finds it more diffucult to live in this condition and he can not earn his living anymore.eventually he is now preparing for a fascinating surgery..it is said that it wont be an easy surgery but doctors will try to cut the dead twin's one leg from Rudy's body.

Rudy Santos is the oldest people in the world who carries his parasital brother on his body..what an interesting life..!

forgetfulness

forgetfulness ..ohh it'S somewhat an unacceptable thing for us.because nobody expects us to forget for example a meaning of a word however it happens..and almost all of us is afraid of forgetting a word a grammar structure so on..
but think it from another perspective.forgetfulness is one of the most important fears that older ppl have.especially ppl in their 50's confuse trivial cases of forgetfulness with serious ones.almost all middle aged ppl think themselves as having a really serious amnesia.but mostly they're mistaken.there are strong advices to have a good memory and i want to share some ..

first of all we should exercise regularly.it sounds ridiculous i know.but the assistant profesor of hardvard medical school Dr. Aoron P.Nelson says that.he texplains that especially walking exercise affects the structuring process positively.

be careful about the pills that may affectsthe brain functions particularly the ones such as sleeping pills and antidepression pills.

have vitamins like E and C.and be sure of taking enough vitamin B and B12.

be socialized.because social interractions intensify mental health and helps to get over mental illnesses.

try to handle your stress .keep on learning new things and stay away from drinking alcohol.
